About

I am a high school assistant principal in Northern Virginia.  I started this blog during my first year in the role in order to collect and organize his thoughts as I attempted to keep up with the learning curve that comes with the position.  Now in my fourth year, I am feeling more comfortable- but am still learning.  As I have shifted from novice to experience, my focus has shifted from learning the basics, to advocating for standards-based instructional practices as a leader in my building and division.
